Quoted in pairs
A forex price is a ratio. Buying EUR/USD means you expect the euro to strengthen against the dollar; selling means the opposite. Both directions are available at all times.
Trade available major, minor and selected emerging-market currency pairs. You take a position on the exchange rate — no currency is bought, sold or delivered.
Availability differs by account type and jurisdiction. The pairs listed here are indicative of the standard offering.
Times in UTC
Sydney ASX: 21:00–24:00 UTC, 0:00–6:00 UTC. Tokyo TSE: 0:00–9:00 UTC. London LSE: 7:00–16:00 UTC. New York NYSE: 12:00–21:00 UTC
Forex runs continuously through the trading week. Liquidity concentrates where sessions overlap — London/New York is the deepest window of the day.

Nothing is delivered. Profit or loss is the difference between your entry and exit price, multiplied by position size, settled in your account currency.
Positions open past 21:00 UTC are charged or credited a swap based on the interest-rate differential of the two currencies. Wednesday carries a triple charge for weekend value dates.
Four things can affect the cost of holding this instrument. All of them are shown before you confirm an order.
The difference between bid and ask. Widens outside liquid hours and around scheduled news.
Raw-spread accounts trade commission-per-lot instead. See account comparison.
Can be a credit or a debit depending on direction and rate differential.
Applies when an instrument settles in a currency other than your account currency.
Leverage in forex magnifies both gains and losses. A 1% adverse move on a position leveraged 30:1 wipes out roughly 30% of the margin committed to it. Emerging-market pairs carry wider spreads, thinner liquidity and materially larger overnight financing costs than majors.

Risk warning. CFDs are leveraged products and involve a high risk of losing money. Leverage can magnify both gains and losses. Make sure you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the risk involved. FXPolo does not provide investment advice, and nothing on this page is a recommendation to trade any instrument.
